Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 rating

The project involved the construction of an eight-storey building comprising 3,000m² commercial units at basement and ground level with 81 apartments on the floors above.

The building structure comprises raft foundations and an in-situ concrete frame with post tensioned floor slabs. A podium slab was then formed at first
floor level and the accommodation arranged in a ‘figure of 8’ to form two courtyard areas. The roof was constructed with predominantly metal standing
seam at high level with single ply membrane to the courtyards. The external cladding was formed with a combination of aluminium curtain walling
and windows, facing brickwork, proprietary render and ceramic tiling. The apartments were arranged in a figure of eight to form two courtyard areas.

Internally, the apartments were fully finished, while the commercial space was built as shell and core for tenant fit-out.

This development was handed over two months ahead of the target completion date.

The building successfully achieved the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4, helped significantly by the contributions made by the site management team.
