Located in London’s prestigious Portland Place, this ambitious residential project required careful planning to avoid disruption to a major London trunk route.

The works involved the construction of a new eighth floor, along with the structural alteration of the fifth and sixth floors of the existing rear west
wing to provide a new 10,000ft² luxury penthouse residence for a high-profile client.

A specially designed cantilevered scaffold and access platform was required at high level only with a temporary roof to prevent water intrusion throughout
the works.

Significant structural alterations were required to extend the lift and stair cores, as well as strengthening works to facilitate the addition of an outdoor
swimming pool.

The contemporary, open plan penthouse has frameless fixed glazing and laminated stone curtain walling, and is finished with exceptionally high quality
fixtures and fittings.
