This project consists of the extensive refurbishment of a Grade II listed building located next to an extremely busy traffic junction in London’s St James’s, including changes in design and building use.

Works comprise removal of the entire roof and top floor of the building and replacement with a remodelled steel frame structure clad with slate finishes, structural enhancement to the three upper floors and conversion to 11 luxurious suites, including a members’ area and roof terrace.

Original features including the majestic entrance, hallway, drawing rooms and grand staircase have been retained and sympathetically restored with the ornate stone façade cleaned down as part of the restoration works.

The project is complicated by challenges such as restricted access at all times due to the location, including very limited delivery periods.
