The works consisted of stripping back an existing building to its structural frame, removing the existing roof slab, before constructing an additional floor on top of the building and a sizeable extension to the side. The frame was then clad in glazed curtain wall and brickwork with feature waved standing seam roof. Internally the building was fitted out to a high fully serviced standard. Externally we constructed new feature walls and paving to the High Street frontage, whilst maintaining public rights of access to existing businesses and multi-storey car park. The site was complicated by being split in two by a fully operational pub (which remained open for business throughout the building process), adjacent rail track and the proximity of the existing Churchill businesses.
