34 – 36 Lime Street, London

The existing 43,000ft² commercial building, with offices on six floors, and plant rooms at basement and roof level, was refurbished while four of the six ground floor retail units continued trading.

Following removal of the façades which contained asbestos boarding, the building was clad in Jura limestone with Technal windows and curtain walling.

Internally, the cores were stripped back and refurbished with oak and walnut veneer finishes. A new extended reception area was formed with Planar glazing, stone flooring and walnut panelling. The majority of the mechanical and electrical services were removed and replaced with a VRV system and the two, eight-storey passenger lifts were retained and refurbished.
