This commercial refurbishment involved an extensive amount of structural alteration. The existing H shaped building was cut in two to allow for the removal of the central core and a number of columns. Following this, the remaining steel frame was strengthened to facilitate construction of a further two floors of glazed office space, fitted out to CAT A standard.
The building has retained three enhanced retail spaces and seven floors of office space with two lifts serving the development, as well as a reshaped central stair core.
